I've been pretty busy with school but have managed to get a few other things done too...
My cousin Brian wanted a quilt with his school colors (Cornell red for his under grad work and Syracuse orange for his medical degree) and also his two favorite colors blue and green. Above is the first sketch and the fabrics. I had to add
to the design because he's so tall. I was
afraid it wouldn't turn out but was
pleasantly surprised.
One night my daughter had a scary dream and since Brian was coming into town with in the next few days I had to finish - so this was the scene.
Brian's finished quilt
This is the first one I've actually quilted (vs tied.)
My brother Mike's 23rd Birthday - getting all of his cards from his 7 nieces and nephews

WOW Christian! That's stupendous! What a beautiful quilt! Great job! The way you wove the color combination...really nice. I've never actually stitch-quilted anything...always tied...which is just as much of a traditional art as the other, but they both definitely have their own beauty. I'll have to try it.
I LOVE the photo of sewing with a child on your lap. That brought back many memories. :-)
The big photo is stunning. Can I save it to my iPhoto?
That quilt is fantastic!! Did you hand quilt it or machine quilt it?
The moon picture is incredible. Today as I was driving with the children we came upon a hillside covered with trees in full springtime bloom. It looked like the hill was frosted. I almost stopped to get a shot...and then remembered my camera was at home. Oh well. :)
Sure Susie!
machine quilt it.
