Over the course of the last 2 months I have been working on a quilt for my 6 year old niece Lana. I finally finished it last Friday and sent it off to her in the mail. She got it today and called to let me know "Aunt Christian I got the quilt you made for me and I love it! I've been waiting for a blanket like this since my birthday. It's my favorite colors." (I'm glad, I thought it looked like her.) 
It was made with love, but man. It was hard! It seemed to fight me every step of the way. It was my first time not doing just the reg. squares pattern.
